I was unable to get Mighty Eagle (it is impossible to buy it from my country), and was really bummed because of it. This new coins system for unlocking the levels is great fix for me. I still think that results in region of 160k are possible and will give it some more try. As always, the key was luck with debris – got well over 90k after the first shot, and 129170 after the second one with two birds left for my current score of 149170. I actually didn’t split BB, just got the glass base of third tower with it (in it’s entirety:), nor did I activated WB, just flung it at the lower glass of the rightmost tower, as there was nothing to gain from droping the egg since there was no debris down there. I think the top scores must be done with a great first birdie like I had or a very awesome one birdie. I have also gotten a one birdie with this same shot where one of the cement pieces knocked over the right structure. I have included a screenshot of the trajectory and it shows a first bird score of 97190 with lots of debris gone! This is why I could kick myself because I stupidly mucked up the very easy second bird shot to the right structure which I have easily gotten hundreds of times!!! Ouch!!! I could have had a 149K+ easy -( Now I am driving myself crazy trying to repeat the same amount of damage on the first bird for a higher score. I have had lots of high 80K+first bird scores with finishing scores of 138K+ and several 92K-93K first birdies, finishing with 140K- 142K scores. With my score of 142610, I had 93250 after the first bird. Of course you have to keep resetting until you get lots of the debris to fall. Send the second bird in a far and pretty flat arch to take out the right structure. This should cause a the third tower to fall leftward taking out the first three structures. Sometime the middle birdie hits, which works well too. When they are descending down split them so that the bottom bird hits the left base of the third tower. I sent bb in a high & far arch, to clear the second structure. HOPEFULLY, this will cause the structure to partially crumble and eventually set off the TNT.Man, this level has me kicking myself! I realize I have a nice score however, I REALLY lost the opportunity for a 149K+ score by goofing up the second shot which I have easily done 100 times!įully zoomed in, I believe it’s referred to (when you can see the whole screen at one time). This should cause him to hit the upper left sand block of the first structure. Pull red slightly down from horizontal so that he launches at a very slight upward angle. If you manage a one-birder, immediately go out and purchase a lottery ticket and don’t ever come back to this level! This should be a direct hit on the upper left sand block of the third structure. Pull red back until the tip of the triangle formed by the slingshot straps points directly at the spot where the head feathers on Red #2 meet his skull. I use an iPhone 5S, so hopefully these tips work for your platform too. I do have a couple of aiming tips that might, MIGHT, keep you from pulling your hair out. One or two birding it using the video method (minus the luck) IS the only way to do it. As of 07/20/16, there are no really useful posts for this level. One of the tax challenges that small business owners face is that they don’t know what their revenue will look like in a given year, and revenue helps determine tax rate. As you plan, it depends if you think the rates are going to change or not for your business.” Estimating Your Tax Rate “We know the rates for 2020, but for 2021, you basically need a crystal ball. “We have a new administration that said they’ll raise tax rates for the rich, which can include business owners,” said Steven Weil, president of RMS Accounting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But be careful about using the current published rates to estimate what you’ll owe. The IRS publishes small business tax rate adjustments every year. If your business is an LLC, your tax rate depends on whether you’ve elected to operate as a C corp, a partnership, an S corp or a sole proprietorship. With other business entities, such as sole proprietorships, partnerships and S corporations, the income passes directly to owners, so you owe your personal income tax rate on your share of the profits. Your tax rate depends on the structure of your business.įor C corporations, the current tax rate is 21%. What Is the Federal Small Business Tax Rate? Not only do you need to plan around your future uncertain income - you also need to keep track of changing federal laws.Īs you get ready for another year, these strategies can help you determine your small business tax rate. This leads to some of the movie's most memorable moments, as Mad Max and others wade knee-deep in piggy-doo. It is supervised by a Sydney Greenstreet-style fat man named the Collector ( Frank Thring) and ruled by an imperious queen named Aunty Entity ( Tina Turner).Īnd it is powered by an energy source that is, in its own way, a compelling argument against nuclear war: In chambers beneath Bartertown, countless pigs live and eat and defecate, and from their waste products, Turner's soldiers generate methane gas. Bartertown is where you go to buy, trade or sell any thing - or anybody. After his vehicle is stolen and he is left in the desert to die, he makes his way somehow to Bartertown, a quasi-Casablanca hammered together out of spare parts. The driver of the camels is Mad Max ( Mel Gibson), former cop, now sort of a free-lance nomad. The bombs have fallen, the world's petroleum supplies have been destroyed and, in the deserts of Australia, mankind has found a new set of rules and started on a new game. And yet enough years that a new society is taking shape. We are some years in the future how many, it is hard to say, but so few years that the frames and sheet metal of 1985 automobiles are still being salvaged for makeshift new vehicles of bizarre design. But now here is "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,'' not only the best of the three Mad Max movies, but one of the best films of 1985.įrom its opening shot of a bizarre vehicle being pulled by camels through the desert, "Mad Max Three'' places us more firmly within its apocalyptic postnuclear world than ever before. One of the first things to realize when your dog snaps or growls at your child or someone else is that these normal dog behaviors are how a behaviorally healthy dog communicates. What Does Growling and Snapping Really Mean? If your dog has bitten or attacked someone, use a muzzle when he must be around other people and work with a professional to get his bad behavior under control. Use baby gates or a crate to keep the dog and child separated when they aren’t being supervised, and follow the advice below to correct your dog’s behavior. Dog bites can be very serious, so dog owners must take proper steps to manage an aggressive dog until they are 100% sure he can be trusted around small children and other family members. While dog aggression can often be modified through proper human and dog training in many cases, it does take time and dedication. So, what do you do when your dog snaps at a child or anyone else for that matter? Managing the Aggressive Dog is Your First Step But when they don’t, the child’s safety is of the utmost importance. When a dog growls, snaps, or shows aggression toward a small child, it’s a whole different level of scary! Kids and dogs can be a match made in heaven, as long as they get along. Or, maybe your dog snapped at your young child who was petting him or playing a little too rough. Or, maybe your dog snapped at you because you startled him or pulled too hard with the hairbrush. Have you ever experienced that uh-oh moment where your sweet doggie suddenly doesn’t seem so friendly? Maybe there was some growling when you came up behind him as he was at his food bowl. You can keep it in your case or in some cases your pocket. Using a clip-on guitar tuner takes out another variable in your signal chain you won’t need another patch cable, it’s less cable to go through, and if you’ve got a long and complicated signal chain there’s fewer worries about high-end roll-off or other neurotic considerations that keep guitarists awake at night.Īnother practical consideration, and we’re definitely not cork-sniffing here, is that the clip-on guitar tuner is portable, typically taking a lithium-ion battery. There are other advantages besides pedalboard space. The clip-on tuner could make that a reality. Removing the tuner would free up some valuable real estate for, ooh, an analog delay pedal, for example. Of course, you could stay in tune with a pedal tuner, or with a fancy rack-mounted unit like the Korg Pitchblack Pro, but let’s imagine your pedalboard is already overcrowded as it is. Some acoustic-electric guitars will have an onboard tuner in their pickup and preamp system, but otherwise a clip-on is your best bet.įor electric guitar players it is a little more complicated. For acoustic guitar players, it’s a no-brainer. There’s no question a tuner is an essential tool for 99% of guitarists out there. And besides, your tuner will help you make adjustments to your guitar’s intonation - so it can be in tune at all - and facilitate alternate tunings if that’s your bag. In the past, we might have tuned by ear to a tuning fork or reference pitch, and that was more or less good enough for rock’n’roll, but this approach takes training of the ear to be anywhere near accurate. That’s easy – because you are not a sadist and you wish to keep your bandmates and audience sane! There’s nothing worse than an out-of-tune guitar, or indeed the sound of a guitar tuning up. By X-ray imaging the exact same particles before and after charging, the cracks that develop during this process are seen, quantified and modelled. In our latest work, led by Huw Parks, we show how over-charging your batteries can cause major damage to the particles. It’s been an honour to be involved in this work, and working with some fantastic scientists Marco Lagnoni, Antonio Bertei, Supratim Das, Kieran O'Regan, Donal Finegan, Emma Kendrick, Martin Bazant, Dan Brett, and Paul Shearing #sustainability #batteries #fastchargeĭo you know what happens to the particles inside your battery when you plug in your phone/laptop/electric vehicle? This knowledge could lead to an efficient charging process while minimising the risk of lithium plating.įast charge capabilities are a key enabler for smaller battery packs, which are key to ensure EVs can be affordable for the mass market! The study provides new insights into the development of microstructure for fast charge-capable materials, and fast charging protocols. Particle and electrode scale behind this is presented by multiscale phase-field battery modelling. A mechanistic understanding of the physics at Lithium plating is also observed at the end of charge, which dissolves during relaxation and discharge. The video below, taken from our paper published this week in Nature Communications, led by Xuekun Lu, shows the concentration gradients present in a graphite anode as lithium is added and removed. Did you know graphite turns gold when lithium is added? In 2017, the federal government reported more than 35,277 cybersecurity incidents.Īs for cyber warfare attacks on the US, statistics show a decline in the overall number of attacks over recent years. According to Chinese cyber attack statistics, information regarding employee performance, training, and job assignments was targeted, with the hackers exclusively trying to gain access to the federal government’s Office of Personnel Management databases. In 2015, Chinese hackers were deemed responsible for breaking into US government computers and accessing the data of 4 million current and former federal employees.Īnother data breach attributed to the work of Chinese state security agents hit the US in 2015 when as many as 4 million government workers - both current and former - were put at risk. Any way you look at it, such incidents pose a threat, as they could result in further damage if the data collected is put to use and the response from the government proves inadequate. The first few ideas that pop to mind range from acquiring credentials for future breaches to staging large-scale phishing operations. We can only imagine what their motives were. Since stale data is far less protected and therefore easier to crack, hackers managed to collect personal information dating as far back as 1985. In 2014, a wave of attacks targeting the records of former and current US government employees revealed to the public the scope of the foreign cybersecurity threat. US cyber warfare statistics registered as many as 61,000 federal government cybersecurity breaches in 2013. The sheer scale of the operation indicated that the breaches were orchestrated by a nation-state, although to this day there is no substantial evidence to support this claim. Retail magnates like Target got caught up on this unflattering list as tens of millions of customers had their credit card information and personal data exposed and stolen by cybercriminals. Not only did this event trigger an avalanche of criticism, but it also revealed how much of a target for hackers the American private sector had become. Most Notable Cases of Cyber Warfare in the Past Decade In 2013, the FBI was forced to notify more than 3,000 companies in the private sector that their confidential data had been breached.
